The Mountain Home Bombers

How does a high school in the Arkansas Ozarks end up with a Navy Corsair parked out front? School lore says a low-flying plane once roared over an early football practice, and ever since, the school's teams have been the Bombers, in blue and gold. Decades later, the school acquired a retired Navy Corsair to honor that name and the men and women who served in the armed forces. Today the aircraft stands as the Bombers' mascot, a tribute parked at the front door.
