Ben Delatour Scout Ranch

You are at the edge of the Ben Delatour Scout Ranch, more than three thousand acres of forest and meadow in the Cache la Poudre watershed, near Red Feather Lakes. The land had been a working ranch since the eighteen hundreds before Ben Delatour bought the old Pinecroft property and gave it to the Boy Scouts, who opened it as a scout ranch around nineteen fifty-nine. Generations of youth have come here to learn camping, leadership, and respect for the high country.

The ranch also hosts high adventure treks and leadership training programs. In recent years a conservation easement permanently protected the property, keeping the land undeveloped for the future.
