Selby, South Dakota

Selby is the county seat of Walworth County, South Dakota, and the county was organized in eighteen eighty-three. Selby grew after the Milwaukee Road railroad arrived in eighteen ninety-nine. Selby sits on the Missouri Coteau, a glacially-shaped upland of lakes and potholes that is some of the finest waterfowl habitat in North America.
