Historic Fallsington

Near Trenton, Pennsylvania

Fallsington is one of the earliest settled villages in Pennsylvania, and one of the best preserved. Its Quaker roots reach back to sixteen eighty-three, when Friends organized a meeting here shortly after William Penn's arrival in the colony. Penn himself is said to have worshipped here in seventeen oh one.

The original meetinghouse of about sixteen ninety stood near the site of the present building, and the village that grew around it has retained an extraordinary number of its colonial-era structures, stone and frame homes spanning two centuries that give Fallsington the feel of a place time quietly passed by. Today Fallsington is preserved as a historic district, a rare window into ordinary Pennsylvania life in the age of Penn.
